The ultimate dream is turning your side hustle job into your full-time gig, am I right? Well maybe not for everyone, but the vast majority of people want to make money doing something that they absolutely love and if that is something that allows them to set their own schedule, then why not? So if you’re in that camp, then you are going to want to read this post and start applying these tips so that you too can make your side hustle job your full-time gig.
How to Make Your Side Hustle Job Your Full-Time Gig
A little over a year ago, I quit my full-time job to pursue my side hustle job of Confetti Social. It was honestly one of the best decisions I could have ever made even though it was rather difficult the first few months. I have really enjoyed the journey of being my own boss and being able to work with passionate women to uplevel their social media strategies.
Work smarter, not harder
When you’re essentially doing two jobs, you’re going to need to learn how to prioritize your time and work smarter, not harder. It’s so easy to procrastinate but you can’t really procrastinate as a side hustler because then you will never be able to take your side hustle full-time.
Only take on projects worth your while
When you’re still side hustling you should only take on projects that you absolutely love and will bring you additional income so that you can start building those relationships and thus getting testimonials. You only have so many hours in a day so if 8 of them are spent at your 9-5 job then you can only take on a handful of projects so they need to be good ones.
Set aside money prior to quitting
My biggest piece of advice is to save, save, save before you decide to take your side hustle job full-time. You’re going to need the extra money as a buffer while you’re working to pick up more clients and get your business off the ground.
